A site with a particular requirement for environmental sensitivity, the Aberdeen STW gasholder is a 1000m3 gasholder with the outer membrane coloured grey - to blend and merge aestically with concrete structures in the vicinity.

Coca - Cola - Manufacturing Facility
Coca-Cola’s manufacturing facility in Warrington, Yorkshire, UK, incorporates an anaerobic wastewater treatment facility dating from the early 1990s. The existing gasholder, a steel bell-over-water design, had been damaged during over-pressurisation and was deemed irreparable. We were therefore commissioned to design, manufacture, supply and install a small (20m3) gasholder, to be installed in an enclosed, roofless, compound.

Exeter - Sludge Treatment Centre
A gasholder of 1000m3 was required by South West Water at their sludge digestion centre at Exeter, Devon, to replace a failed gasholder. The gasholder design utilised the existing gasholder's fans and control system, but replaced all the membranes and anchorages with new equipment. The gasholder fits neatly within the attractive natural landscape of the area.

Paterson Candy were appointed as Main Contractor for the refurbishment of part of the Gowerton sludge treatment centre in South Wales. We undertook the design and supply of the gasholder for this project. The gasholder capacity was 400m3. The gasholder was erected on the site of the old steel gasholder, which had failed

Lowestoft - Sludge Treatment Centre
The award winning Lowestoft STW is a prestigious project, for which the Main Contractor was Purac. We designed, manufactured, installed and commissioned a 1000m3 gasholder, which was required to blend into the particular background and colour-scheme of this highly sensitive plant. A light stone-ochre colour was chosen, and the gasholder blends in well with the background.

Wombell - Sewage Treatment Centre
Yorkshire Water, through their contracting partners Earth Tech-Morrison, ordered a 150m3 double-membrane gasholder for their project in re-developing Wombwell STC. The client chose dark green for the outer membrane of the gasholder to match the colour of the existing and new tanks and digestion vessels.
The gasholder operating pressure was unusually low at 12.5mbar
