VERGAS Ltd brings together the resources of RCBWEL & CWT Ltd
Offering the Water Industry a comprehensive manufacturing, installation and commissioning service for its range of Biogas Storage Vessels and other equipment involved in biogas generation systems, as well as odour control covers and other membrane structures.
The company's founders are Richard Cherry and Nigel Townley-Berry. Richard was the principal Director in CWT and has a wealth of experience in the manufacture of engineered membrane systems. Nigel is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute having successfully owned and managed many other businesses over the last 25 years.
The company will take over from, and continue the success and high standards of the previous companies, from which our clients, old and new, will continue to benefit. All manufacturing facilities have been upgraded and UK based. We remain the only UK manufacturer of membrane gasholders, and therefore our products benefit from a very low carbon footprint.
The major purpose in this restructuring has been to enable us to more fully develop our business in the US and Europe, where our installations on over 95 sites provides an excellent track record and reference for the future.

In the US, we have appointed WesTech Engineering Inc of Salt Lake City, Utah, as our distributor for the DuoSphere double-membrane gasholder; we have developed a "tank-top" digester mounted double membrane gasholder, which has been very successful.

Our gas storage systems are exclusively manufactured from advanced structural fabrics, and designed as membranes to provide both structural ( climatic ) stability and impermeable gas storage.
We also design and manufacture odour control covers, as well as large area sludge cake storage covers ( ARSC )
